Michael Clarke Duncan, the Oscar-nominated star of The Green Mile and beloved gentle giant to many, died this week in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center of complications following a massive heart attack. In July, Duncan suffered what is know in medical jargon as myocardial infarction and was not able to fully recover. On Labor day he succumbed without ever leaving the hospital. Duncan proclaimed just months ago in a video ad for PETA that he has been a vegetarian for three years and has never felt better.
